Baltimore Beach Volleyball

Currently there are eight (8) courts on the plans for a new park at Rash Field.  (view plan) Yet the BDC has stressed to me that these "plans" are not set - and in fact half of the design team is in favor of cutting back the number of courts in response to negative feedback from some people, who I feel are not aware of our involvement and contributions to the community.

Feel free to write the development committee on your desires for the park. don't forget to include where you live, work and CC me please.  I'm including a link to their addresses along with some emails written by those of you who have given me permission to share.

It’s official...Baltimore City Recreation and Parks (BCRP) has been given the green light to use Rash Field for the Spring and Summer of 2008. So Baltimore Beach will remain in it’s current form throughout the Summer and possibly the Fall as well.

2008 Season Schedule

Happy New Year!

I hope the holidays were enjoyable for everyone.  While the weather outside is still frightful, Spring is right around the corner, and things are happening to make Baltimore Beach 2008 busier than ever!  Below is a tentative schedule of events, but check the website often for the most up-to-date listings.

2008 tentative schedule: ..

· April 1st: league sign-ups begin

· April 26th: America East conference sand volleyball tournament

· May 1 - 30th: Free Play (open to everyone)

· May 10 - 11th: Preakness celebration
(
weekend events TBD)

· May 24th: Labor day weekend coed 4’s Hat Draw tournament

· May 31st: Baltimore Beach's volleyball challenge benefiting a number of local charities and involving 35 corporate teams

· June 2 - Aug 22nd: League play
